Serving Our Community

Linda, a registered Republican and longtime Chemung County Republican Committee Member since 1989, resides in Elmira with her husband of 34 years, Steven, who serves as an elected Elmira City Court Judge. The couple has five grown children and two grandchildren (plus two more on the way). Originally born and raised in Wayland, she is a graduate of Wayland Central School and Elmira Business Institute.

Aside from her impressive professional qualifications listed below, Linda has been a longtime community leader in many volunteer roles. She is a Member and a Sustainer of the Elmira Junior League, formerly serving as Treasurer, and she was named as Volunteer of the Year in 1999. She has taught Sunday School at St. Mary’s Parish in Elmira and for twenty-five years, she served as a pre-cana counselor. Additionally, she has served as a member of the Board of Directors on the Broadway School PFO.

Management & Administrative Experience

For the past eighteen years, Linda has served as the Deputy Commissioner for the Chemung County Board of Elections, where she and her counterpart oversee the daily operations and the budget of the Board of Elections. Linda has extensive experience managing budgets, payroll, grants, training and conducting elections.

Legal Experience

 Linda has seventeen years of experience working as a secretary in a law office preparing and filing a variety of legal documents for real estate closings, estates, bankruptcies, divorces, personal injury cases, criminal, and civil cases. She also spent two years working at the Chemung County License Bureau, and she has been a licensed Notary Public since 1982.
